Learners

There is an expectation that learners will take up an offer of support, continuation of which will be by negotiation with the individual.

Learners

We regard every learner/candidate as an individual. Our Learning Support Team provides a highly effective support network across the organisation. Learning support is considered an integral part of a learner’s programme of study. There is an expectation that learners will take up an offer of support, continuation of which will be by negotiation with the individual.

Wherever possible we will attempt to be anticipatory in our readiness to provide for learners in need of learning support. We provide support to any learner in need at each stage of their learning experience with us.

From the initial assessment, a diagnostic assessment is done and the results inform what learning and support will be undertaken. Information advice and guidance is provided and learners are sign posted to the appropriate level. The individual learning plan is completed and monitored throughout the programme. Progress reviews are used to inform whether learning has taken place and any support needed or the continuous improvement.

E-Learning and Online learning

All learners have access to our e-learning portal, which ensure learners can work in their own time, re-learn modules, and complete personal study outside of course time. This is particularly important for learners who may have caring responsibilities or may need to refresh certain sessions. Our delivery includes e-learning and distance learning – which means employees can undertake learning away from their work time. We also deliver training on site within employers premises – thereby reducing absence and travel time to attend. This is particualrly important for rural businesses, where travel is a major barrier to learning.

Our courses are carefully delivered to welcome learners with learning difficulties and disabilities, mental health issues and physical disabilities whilst developing life and work skills through practical activities.

All staff are industry professionals with experience in delivering these programmes, have up-to-date qualifications including Assessors Award, EQA qualifications, PTLLS / DTTLS qualified.
